    Canaan Dogs can make good pets in Cambodia if they match your IifestyIe. The Canaan Dog is a medium sized breed that is excellent as a herder, watchdog, and guard dog. Canaan Dogs are territorial and loyal. They are devoted to their own families but wary of strangers. Early socialization, especially with kids, is a must. Canaan Dogs are traditionally working dogs suited to farm life but can adapt well to apartment dwelling if they get plenty of daily exercise.

    The Canaan Dog is descended from wild dogs of Israel. Canaan Dogs have been used by the military to detect mines and carry messages. Canaan Dogs can be trained as seeing eye dogs. Drawings found in tombs in the Middle East dating back to 2200 B.C. show dogs that resemble Canaan Dogs.
